Tom and Jerry

  1. Beat the egg white until stiff; beat the yolk until thick and lemon-colored.
  2. Combine them and beat in the sugar.
  3. Have ready a warmed 8-ounce mug.
  4. Add the egg mixture, brandy and rum, then fill with hot milk.
  5. Stir and top with a little grated nutmeg.
