saffron chicken (Kesar Murgh) my spin on it
- 6 cup chicken cut into bite sized pieces six breast
- 1 inch ginger grated or half teaspoon ground ginger
- 2 tbsp minced garlic
- 3 tbsp ghee
- 1 large onion thinly sliced
- 4 pepper thinly sliced
- 1 tsp saffron
- 4 tbsp hot water
- 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp fresh ground black pepper
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 1/2 tbsp cold water
- take 4 tablespoons of hot water and put saffron in it
- heat ghee in a large pan add onions, peppers, garlic let cook till onions become transparent
- add the chicken stir in
- add spices and saffron infused water
- mix very well
- let cook till chicken is done
- add turmeric cornstarch and cold water add to boiling liquid with the chicken let thicken serve with Jasmine Rice
