Pecan Drop Cookies Recipe
- 1 1/4 c. 3X sifted flour
- 1/4 teaspoon soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 1 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 c. coarsely broken pecans, optional
- Resift flour 3X with soda and salt.
- Cream shortening and sugar.
- Add in egg and mix thoroughly.
- Stir in flour.
- Fold in 2 or possibly 3 portions till smooth.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto lightly greased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 min.
- Cold about 5 min and remove from sheet.
- 3 1/2 dozen.
