Broiled Italian Tomato Halves
- 3 large tomatoes, halved and seeded
- 1 tablespoon virgin olive oil
- 2 teaspoons italian seasoning
- 13 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Place tomato halves on a greased broiler pan, cut-side up.
- Combine olive oil and seasoning in a small bowl and brush evenly over tomatoes.
- Broil about 6 inches from heat for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Sprinkle each tomato half with about 1 tablespoon shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Broil 1 to 2 minutes more until cheese is lightly browned.
- Serve immediately.
