Beet Borscht 1 Recipe
- 2 lb Beef brisket
- 1 lrg Bunch beets
- 2 med Onions
- 2 Tbsp. Sugar
- 1 lrg Clove garlic
- 2 med Nuggets sour salt or possibly juice of 1 lemon Salt and pepper to taste
- Simmer beef in water to cover generously.
- Skim to clear.
- Add in sour salt or possibly lemon juice, sliced and peeled onions and beets, sugar, and seasoning.
- Mince garlic fine, add in to broth.
- Cook till meat is tender (about 3 hrs).
- Correct seasonings, serve warm.
