Sausage & Beef Ravioli Filling
- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1/2 whole Yellow Onion
- 1 Tablespoon Minced Garlic
- 1 pound Italian Sausage
- 1 pound Ground Sirloin
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- 1 Tablespoon Italian Seasoning
- 1 teaspoon Ground Fennel
- 1/2 teaspoons Red Pepper Flakes
- 2 cups Ricotta Cheese
- 1 cup Parmesan Cheese
- 1 whole Egg
- 1.
- Brown the onion in the olive oil until turning translucent.
- Add the garlic.
- 2.
- Add both sausage and beef, break into very small pieces and cook through.
- 3.
- Add spices and seasonings, remove from heat.
- Drain and cool.
- In a food processor, add ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, and the sausage/ground beef mixture.
- Process together until it reaches an almost paste-like consistency.
- Refrigerate until ready to use.
- Can also be frozen.
