Artichokes With Butter Sauce Recipe

  1. Slice 1 inch from top of artichokes.
  2. Cut stem even with base.
  3. With kitchen shears, snip off sharp tips.
  4. Wash thoroughly.
  5. Place upside down in a baking dish.
  6. Combine water, oil and lemon juice.
  7. Pour over artichokes.
  8. Cover with plastic wrap.
  9. Microwave at high (100%) till base is tender, 16 to 18 min.
  10. Remove plastic wrap.
  11. Turn right side up.
  12. Recover.
  13. Let stand 5 min.
  14. Place butter in a 1 c. measure.
  15. Microwave at high (100%) till melted, 30 to 45 seconds.
  16. Stir in lemon juice and garlic pwdr.
  17. Serve with artichokes.
