Artichokes With Butter Sauce Recipe
- 4 med Artichokes
- 1/4 c. Water
- 1 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
- 1 tsp Lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp. Lemon juice
- 1/2 c. Butter
- 1/2 tsp Garlic pwdr
- Slice 1 inch from top of artichokes.
- Cut stem even with base.
- With kitchen shears, snip off sharp tips.
- Wash thoroughly.
- Place upside down in a baking dish.
- Combine water, oil and lemon juice.
- Pour over artichokes.
- Cover with plastic wrap.
- Microwave at high (100%) till base is tender, 16 to 18 min.
- Remove plastic wrap.
- Turn right side up.
- Recover.
- Let stand 5 min.
- Place butter in a 1 c. measure.
- Microwave at high (100%) till melted, 30 to 45 seconds.
- Stir in lemon juice and garlic pwdr.
- Serve with artichokes.
