Refrigerator Coleslaw
- 1 large head of cabbage, finely chopped
- 1 -2 small onion, finely chopped
- 3 -4 stalks celery, finely chopped
- 1 bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup vinegar
- 1 teaspoon white mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- salt and pepper
- Combine cabbage, onion, celery, bell pepper, salt and pepper.
- Heat sugar vinegar, mustard seed and turmeric to boiling point.
- Pour over cabbage mixture.
- Cover and refrigerate.
- Will keep for 1 week in refrigerator.
