Meat And Vegetable Pie Recipe
- 1 pound beef stew meat, cubed
- 1/4 c. Bisquick
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon paprika
- 1 pound beef round steak, cut into serving-size pcs
- 2 tbsp. shortening
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 c. water
- 1/4 c. water
- In a small bowl combine Bisquick, salt, pepper and paprika mix; reserve leftover mix.
- In skillet cook meat in warm shortening till meat is browned.
- Add in 1/4 c. water; cover and cook over low heat about 2 hrs or possibly till meat is tender.
- Remove meat from pan.
- Add in 1 c. water to drippings in pan.
- Stir together 2 Tbsp.
- of the reserved Bisquick mix and 1/4 c. water.
- Stir into warm liquid gradually.
- Heat to boiling; boil and stir 1 minute.
- To serve, pour warm gravy over meat.
- Makes 4 servings.
