Ambrosia Pancakes With Orange Syrup Recipe

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, beat egg till fluffy.
  2. Add in remaining ingredients, except shortening, and beat just till smooth.
  3. For thinner pancakes, stir in additional 1 to 2 Tbsp.
  4. lowfat milk.
  5. Heat griddle or possibly skillet over medium heat or possibly to 375 degrees.
  6. Grease griddle with shortening, if necessary.
  7. Griddle is ready when a few drops of water bubble and skitter rapidly around.
  8. For each pancake, pour scant 1/4 c. batter onto warm griddle.
  9. Cook pancakes till puffed and dry around edges.
  10. Turn and cook other sides till golden.
  11. This recipe yields about nine 4-inch pancakes.
  12. Recipe can be doubled.
  13. Yield: 9 pancakes
