Apples 'n' Cream Trifle

  1. In large bowl, use electric mixer to beat sweetened condensed milk and water together until smooth.
  2. Add pudding mix; beat well.
  3. Chil until thickened, about 20 minutes.
  4. Fold in whipped cream.
  5. In large skillet over medium heat saute apples with butter, brown and white sugar and cinnamon until tender.
  6. Cool completely.
  7. Line bottom of a 12 cup round trifle bowl with slices of pound cake (or divide amongst individual trifle dishes).
  8. Spoon half pudding mixture over pound cake, then cover with apples.
  9. Repeat one more layer, reserving a bit of pudding mixture for garnishing the top layer.
  10. Chill overnight.
