Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry

  1. In large bowl mix together the first 5 ingredients.
  2. Add meat and mix coating well.
  3. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour preferably 4 hours.
  4. In large pot of boiling salted water add broccoli and blanch for 2 minutes.
  5. Drain and rinse under cold water.
  6. Heat oil in heavy large wok or skillet over high heat.
  7. Drain meat well but reserve marinade.
  8. Add cornstarch to reserved marinade and mix until smooth then set aside.
  9. Add meat to wok and stir fry until almost cooked about 2 minutes.
  10. Add broccoli and stir fry until tender crisp, about 2 minutes.
  11. Add reserved marinade mixture and bring to a boil.
  12. Cook until sauce thickens and coats meat and broccoli, stirring constantly about 2 minutes.
  13. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  14. Serve over rice.
