Italian Cuisine con Chikuwa

  1. Make cuts into the chikuwa.
  2. Make criss-cross cuts like this.
  3. This makes it look somehow like calamari.
  4. Chop into bite-sizes.
  5. Spread olive oil in a pan, and saute the chikuwa.
  6. You can brown them by pressing down with a spatula.
  7. Remove the chikuwa.
  8. Add a modest amount of oil into the pan, and saute the thinly sliced onions.
  9. When the onions are soft, put the chikuwa back into the pan.
  10. Season with condiments.
  11. Dish it up, and top with grated cheese and parsley to serve.
