Brussel Sprouts With Balsamic Vinegar Recipe
- 1 1/2 lb Fresh brussel sprouts
- 2 tsp Extra virgin olive oil
- 2 x Cloves garlic, peeled and sl
- 1 x Medium yellow onion, peeled
- 1/4 c. Balsamic vinegar
- 2 tsp Butter
- 1 x Salt and freshly grnd blac
- Trim off the stems and remove any limp leaves from the Brussel Sprouts.
- Blanch the sprouts in boiling water to cover for 5 min.
- Drain and rinse under cool water to stop the cooking.
- Heat a large frying pan and add in the extra virgin olive oil, garlic and onion.
- Saute/fry a few min till the onion just becomes tender.
- Add in the blanched liquid removed Brussel Sprouts.
- Saute/fry a few min till the Brussel Sprouts are cooked to your liking.
- Add in the vinegar and toss so which all the sprouts are coated with the vinegar.
- Add in the butter and salt and pepper to taste and toss together again.
