Candied Yams Recipe
- 4 lb Yams
- 1/2 c. Brown sugar
- 1/4 c. Granulated sugar
- 1 Tbsp. Grnd cinnamon
- 1 c. Fresh pineapple juice
- 1 c. Fresh squeezed orange juice
- 1 c. Cool water
- Peel yams and cut in one-inch pcs.
- Place yams in cool water till all yams are peeled and cut.
- Drain yams.
- Place cut yams in deep baking dish.
- Add in sugar, pineapple juice, orange juice, and water.
- Sprinkle grnd cinnamon over top of yams.
- Cover yams and bake in 400 degree preheated oven for approximately 40-50 min or possibly till yams are fork-tender.
- Yield: 6 servings.
