Big Melt-In-Your-Mouth Brown Sugar-Apple Cookies

  2. Preheat oven to 375.
  3. In medium bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt together.

  5. In large bowl, using an electric mixer, beat 1/2 cup butter and brown sugar until fluffy and light.
  6. add the egg; beat until smooth (for around 2-4 minutes).
  7. with mixer on a low setting, alternate between the flour mixture and applesauce beginning and ending with the flour mixture (DONT OVERMIX).
  8. 3.drop cookie dough by heaping tablespoons, 2 inches apart (I did 6 to a cookie sheet).
  9. Bake until light/medium golden brown and/or insert a toothpick in the center of the cookie and it comes out clean.
  10. around 10-14 minutes.
  11. transfer to a wire rack and allow to cool completely.
  12. 4.meanwhile make the frosting: in a large bowl, using electric mixer, beat 1/2 cup butter (and prefered extract), gradually add confectioners' sugar until smooth.
  13. 5. when cookies are cooled frost cookies with the buttercream and add sprinkles or any type of decorationy.
  14. Enjoy.
