Meat and Potatoes

  1. Cut round steak into cubes and brown in shortening in heavy skillet or Dutch oven.
  2. Peel and cube potatoes.
  3. Once meat is slight browned add potatoes and continue to brown..
  4. Add tomato sauce, salt, pepper, cumin powder and garlic.
  5. Add ONE cup of water and simmer until meat and potatoes are tender.
  6. Potatoes will thicken sauce.
