Banana Ice Cream (Jamaican) Recipe

  1. Mix custard pwdr to a paste with a little of the lowfat milk.
  2. Bring remainder of lowfat milk to boil and stir in paste and beaten egg yolks.
  3. Cook over low fire for 3 min.
  4. Stir till cold, then fold in condensed and evaporated lowfat milk and banana puree.
  5. Set to freeze.
  6. When very hard pack in container lined with wax paper; leave edge to overhang.
  7. Cover.
  8. Store in freezer.
  9. Yield: 1 qt
  10. NOTES :* original recipe called for cow's lowfat milk
