Fried Apple Rings

  1. In a small bowl whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt.
  2. Set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl whisk together until well combined the yogurt and egg.
  4. Whisk the flour mixture and yogurt mixture together.
  5. Set aside.
  6. Slice the apples and then using a round cookie cutter cut rings out of the middle of the apple.
  7. In a large deep skillet, heat the oil over a low-medium.
  8. Dip the apple rings in the batter then add to the skillet as you go along and cook in batches.
  9. Cook for 1-2 minutes or until the batter has become golden brown.
  10. Turn only once to cook the other side.
  11. Remove and place on kitchen roll.
  12. In another separate bowl combine well the sugar and cinnamon.
  13. Sprinkle the sugar mixture over the apple rings while they are still hot.
  14. Serve immediately.
