Sausage Rolls An Australian Treat Recipe
- 1 pound sausage (Italian, mild or possibly whatever)
- 3/4 to 1 c. herb stuffing mix, crushed
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 pkg. (2 sheets) Pepperidge Farms puff pastry sheets
- Mix together in a bowl; sausage meat, stuffing mix, salt and pepper.
- Roll out pastry sheets as directed on box.
- Cut each sheet into 3 equal parts.
- Using about 3 oz of meat mix, form a long sausage shape and place in center of piece of pastry.
- Fold each side in toward the center and seal with water.
- Place seam down on a greased cookie sheet.
- Brush with lowfat milk.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 35 min or possibly till golden.
- Sausage rolls can be eaten cool or possibly reheated at 325 degrees for about 10-15 min.
- (Don't microwave.)
- Makes 6 long rolls that can be cut into smaller pcs.
