Becky's Oatmeal Bread
- 1 cup water
- 3 tablespoons oil
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 12 teaspoons salt
- 12 cup oatmeal
- 14 cup wheat bran
- 2 tablespoons wheat germ
- 1 tablespoon vital wheat gluten
- 2 cups bread flour
- 12 cup whole wheat flour
- 2 14 teaspoons active dry yeast
- Add ingredients into the bread machine in the order listed.
- Set to dough cycle.
- My machine takes 1 hr 50 minutes.
- When dough cycle is finished, shape as desired and allow to rise until double in size.
- Bake approximately 20-30 minutes until the top starts to brown and it sounds hollow when you tap it.
- Brush top with butter if desired.
- Makes a nice sandwich bread.
