Black Bottom Pumpkin Bars
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 1 cup Land O Lakes Butter, softened
- 2 Land O Lakes Eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 (15-ounce) can pumpkin
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 2 to 3 tablespoons milk
- Heat oven to 350F.
- Grease 15x10x1-inch baking pan; set aside.
- Combine flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, salt and remaining spices in bowl.
- Set aside.
- Combine sugar and butter in bowl; beat at medium speed until creamy.
- Add eggs and 1 teaspoon vanilla; continue beating until well mixed.
- Add pumpkin; beat until well mixed.
- Add flour mixture to pumpkin mixture, beating at low speed and scraping bowl often, until well mixed.
- Spoon 2 1/4 cups batter into bowl.
- Add cocoa; mix well.
- Spread into prepared pan.
- Spread remaining batter over top.
- Bake 21-24 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Cool 15 minutes.
- Combine all glaze ingredients except milk in bowl; beat at low speed, gradually adding enough milk for desired spreading consistency.
- Drizzle glaze over bars.
