Flan Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 400
  2. Mix cake according to directions except DO NOT USE the water.
  3. Add 2/3 cup of the coke or sprite .
  4. Set aside.
  5. In a seperate bowl mix both of the canned milks, eggs, and vanilla together on medium high speed for 2 to 3 minutes.
  6. Spray bunt pan with pam.
  7. Pour the cake batter in bunt pan.
  8. Next pour the milk mixture down the sides of the cake mixture.
  9. This is the flan part of the cake and it will sink to the bottom and lift cake up to the top.
  10. Fill A cake pan that the bundt pan will fit in half way with water and set cake in the water bath.
  11. This will help the flan cook evenly.
  12. Bake cake for about one hour.
  13. Start checking after 45 minutes.
  14. Cake is done when inserted toothpick comes out clean and the cake starts pulling away from the sides.
  15. Cool cake in the refrigerator for 4 to 5 hours so the flan sets up.
  16. I always make mine the night before to be served the next day.
  17. After cake is cooled flip the cake over on a serving dish.
  18. Well worth waiting for and ohhh so delicious.
