Flan Cake
- 1 box cake mix of your choice
- 2/3 cup coke if it is a dark cake mix, or sprite if it is a light mix.
- 1 can 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
- 1 can 12 oz. evaporated milk
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- Preheat oven to 400
- Mix cake according to directions except DO NOT USE the water.
- Add 2/3 cup of the coke or sprite .
- Set aside.
- In a seperate bowl mix both of the canned milks, eggs, and vanilla together on medium high speed for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Spray bunt pan with pam.
- Pour the cake batter in bunt pan.
- Next pour the milk mixture down the sides of the cake mixture.
- This is the flan part of the cake and it will sink to the bottom and lift cake up to the top.
- Fill A cake pan that the bundt pan will fit in half way with water and set cake in the water bath.
- This will help the flan cook evenly.
- Bake cake for about one hour.
- Start checking after 45 minutes.
- Cake is done when inserted toothpick comes out clean and the cake starts pulling away from the sides.
- Cool cake in the refrigerator for 4 to 5 hours so the flan sets up.
- I always make mine the night before to be served the next day.
- After cake is cooled flip the cake over on a serving dish.
- Well worth waiting for and ohhh so delicious.
