Slow Cooked Steak And Gravy Recipe
- 3 to 4 lbs. boneless round steak
- Dash of each: garlic pwdr & pepper
- 1 lg. onion, coarsely minced
- 2 (10 3/4 ounce.) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 2 Packages dry onion soup mix
- 1/2 to 3/4 c. water
- All-purpose flour
- Cut steak into single serving slices.
- Sprinkle meat with garlic pwdr and pepper.
- Place 1/2 of the slices into crock pot and add in minced onion.
- Add in 1 can mushroom soup and 1 package onion soup mix.
- Add in remaining meat slices and top with remaining can of soup and onion soup mix.
- Add in water.
- Cook on low heat 6 to 8 hrs.
- When done, remove meat and set aside.
- Measure the liquid which remains in the pot.
- Pour the liquid back into the pot and turn power to high.
- To make gravy, add in two Tbsp.
- four to each c. of liquid.
- Let cook, stirring as necessary till smooth and thickened, about 4 min.
- Return meat to pot if you like.
- Serve over rice or possibly potatoes.
- Serves 6 to 8.
