Nutritional Spaghetti Sauce
- 1 12 lbs hamburger (very lean)
- 1 (28 ounce) can marinara sauce
- 1 (3 7/8 ounce) can olives, sliced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 red pepper, diced
- 5 white mushrooms, sliced
- 12 white onion, diced
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 teaspoons dried basil
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 teaspoon ground pepper
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- Add olive oil to a fry pan and heat to medium.
- Saute garlic in the oil for about 3 minutes.
- Add the pepper, mushrooms, onion, tomato paste, olives, and seasoning to the garlic and saute for another 5 minutes.
- Add meat or alternative and thoroughly mix.
- Cook over medium-high heat until the meat is done.
- Add marinara sauce, cover, and let simmer on medium-low heat for about 10 minutes.
- This is where you should add the nutritious food enhancer if you choose to.
- Serve over whatever you like--noodles, rice, potatoes or meat.
