Raspberry cocoa nut squares

  1. put 1/2 cup sugar , flour and salt in bowl and blend well
  2. cut in butter till very fine
  3. add 1 lightly beaten egg to crumb mixture
  4. and toss to mix
  5. gather mixture together and work quickly with hands until crumbs form a dough with lightly floured fingers
  6. press evenly on bottom of greased baking dish 15 by 10 by 1 spread thin but even
  7. coat with jam on top
  8. cream butter and remaining sugar
  9. add remaining eggs 1 at a time beating after each egg
  10. do this till light and creamy
  11. add cocoa nut and mix well
  12. pour over top of jam and spread evenly
  13. bake at 350F 20 to 25 minutes
  14. let cool and cut to serve
