Healthy Chocolate Chip Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Beat together applesauce, butter and sugar.
  3. Beat in egg and vanilla.
  4. In a separate mixing bowl, stir together flour, baking soda,
  5. salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
  6. Stir flour mixture into first mixture and mix well.
  7. Then stir in oats, followed by the bran flakes and the chocolate.
  8. Place rounded tsp-full 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet.
  9. Bake 10-12 minutes.
