Easy Potato Tikki (Patty)

  1. In a medium bowl, mash the boiled potatoes using a fork and add the remaining ingredients.
  2. Make a smooth mixture making sure everything is nicely incorporated.
  3. Make 20 round patties/tikkis and set aside for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  4. (This step helps binds the tikkis together.)
  5. Heat the large nonstick pan over medium flame, brush with oil and place 5-6 tikkis at a time.
  6. Let cook for 2 minutes, flip and cook till both sides are cooked and brown in color.
  7. Repeat until all tikkis are cooked.
  8. To serve, place tikkis on a flat serving plate.
  9. Pour beaten yogurt on it.
  10. Pour 1 teaspoon of tamarind sauce over each tikki.
  11. Sprinkle some red chili and cumin powder for decoration.
  12. Serve hot.
