Asian Inspired Pasta
- 200 grams pasta (about half a package)
- 8 baby carrots, peeled and halved lenghtwise
- 2 garlic cloves, grated
- 300 grams peas
- 400 grams mushrooms
- 1 cm peeled and grated ginger root
- 1 squeeze tomato paste (about 1 tablespoon)
- 1 soy sauce
- 1 sesame oil
- 1 sambal oelek (spicy chili sauce)
- 1 tsp chinese five spice
- 1 black pepper
- Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente.
- Drain and set aside
- Heat some vegetable oil in a wok over high heat.
- Add carrots and fry for a minute
- Then add garlic, ginger and mushrooms until golden brown.
- Finally, add the peas
- When nicely browned, turn off heat, add pasta, sesame oil, soy sauce, sambal oelek, black pepper, chinese five spice and tomato paste
- Stir well to combine and enjoy!
