Grandma Ida's Chocolate Meringue Pie Recipe
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. cocoa
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 c. lowfat milk
- 3 tbsp. corn starch
- 1/2 stick butter
- Combine sugar and corn starch.
- Beat Large eggs, add in a little lowfat milk.
- Beat again.
- Add in sugar mix to egg mix.
- Add in rest of lowfat milk, melted butter and cocoa.
- Boil till thick.
- Add in vanilla.
- Pour into pie crust and top with meringue, sealing edges.
- Bake at 350 degrees till meringue is golden brown.
