Happy burgers

  1. Preheat oven for 350
  2. Open the puff pastry box and pull out one sheet.
  3. Make sure it is thawed enough that you can mold the dough.
  4. I usually leave it out under a kitchen light while prepping
  5. Place the meat, seasonings, and onions in a large mixing bowl.
  6. Use your hands and mix it all together
  7. Patty out the burgers.
  8. This pound usually makes 4 decent size patties.
  9. Dont want them too large
  10. Grill the patties until done the way you like them cooked.
  11. Either inside grill or outside
  12. Take off the grill and let cool for a couple of minutes
  13. Place one slice of cheese on each burger
  14. Once the dough is thawed, smooth out the creases with your finger.
  15. Dont be afraid of it.
  16. Cut the dough with a knife into 4 squares
  17. Take one square and stretch it a bit.
  18. Lay on top of a burger and cheese
  19. Then pull and tug and mold the dough around the burger all the way around and tuck at the bottom.
  20. Try to close the burger all the way.
  21. Place each covered burger on a cookie sheet - ungreased
  22. Create the eggwash by taking the yolk and mix with a splash if water.
  23. Stir.
  24. Then glaze each burger with the wash
  25. Cook in oven for 15 minutes
