Easy and Delicious Macaroni Au Gratin
- 150 grams Chicken thighs
- 1/2 Onion
- 20 grams Butter
- 2 tbsp Flour
- 400 ml Milk
- 1 tsp Chicken stock powder
- 60 grams Macaroni
- 2 slice Melting sliced cheese
- 1 Parmesan cheese (or other grated cheese)
- 1 Parsley (for garnish)
- Preparation: Cut the chicken into 1 cm cubes, and thinly slice the onion.
- Stir-frying the ingredients: Melt the butter, and stir-fry the chicken and onion over medium heat.
- Turn off the heat when the onion becomes soft and wilted.
- Add the flour, and mix well.
- Making the white sauce: Once the flour is blended in well, add the milk, chicken stock powder, macaroni, and simmer until the sauce is thickened over medium heat.
- Transfer the mixture into a heatproof gratin dish.
- Place one slice of melting sliced cheese on top, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, and bake in the oven.
- Garnishing: When the cheese has browned, remove the dish from the oven.
- Sprinkle with parsley if you like, and you're done.
