Sweet Nut Roll
- 4 egg yolks
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 1 tbsp. white vinegar
- 1 cake yeast
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 5 to 6 cups flour
- 1 lb. ground walnuts
- 4 egg whites
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup sugar, to taste
- 1 to 2 tbsp. milk
- Dough: Mix first four ingredients together.
- Add flour until a soft dough forms.
- Filling: Mix all ingredients until spreadable.
- Roll dough out in sugar to about 1/4" thick.
- Spread with filling.
- Cut into wedges.
- Roll each wedge up, beginning at wide end.
- Roll in additional sugar if desired.
- Bake at 350F about 10 - 12 minutes or until golden brown.
