Beacan Bruithe (Baked Mushrooms) Irish Recipe

  1. Wash and peel mushrooms.
  2. Remove stalks and throw away.
  3. Brush mushrooms with melted butter.
  4. Fry onions in remaining butter.
  5. When tender, mix onion and butter with breadcrumbs, sausagemeat, herbs and seasonings.
  6. Divide among the mushrooms.
  7. Place mushrooms in a shallow ovenproof dish, pour 4 Tbsp.
  8. of water into the bottom of the dish, and bake for 15-20 min in a moderate oven.
