Character Bento: Funassyi

  1. Season the rice with salt, wrap in plastic wrap, and flatten it out into an oval.
  2. Whisk the egg, season how you like, and make an usuyaki thin omelette.
  3. Take the wrap off of the rice, wrap the omelette around the rice, cover in wrap again, and let sit.
  4. The body is actually light blue in color, but I used toasted nori seaweed this time.
  5. The the nori will not stick well to the egg, so pack it into the bento and press down on it while you wrap it.
  6. Cut out the eyes and mouth from toasted nori seaweed using scissors.
  7. Use red wiener sausage for the inside of the mouth.
  8. Glue on all the parts with mayonnaise.
