Dark Chocolate Honey-Almond Fondue
- 34 cup whipping cream
- 6 tablespoons honey
- 4 (3 5/8 ounce) Toblerone chocolate bars or 14 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
- 2 tablespoons kirsch (clear cherry brandy)
- 12 teaspoon almond extract
- fresh fruit (such as whole strawberries, 1 inch thick sliced peeled banana, peeled pear wedges, sliced star fruit)
- Bring cream and honey to simmer in heavy medium saucepan.
- Add chocolate; whisk until melted.
- Remove from heat.
- Whisk in kirsch and extract.
- Pour fondue into bowl; place on platter and surround with assorted fruits.
- Serve fondue with skewers.
