Easiest Tamales Ever
- 2 cup Maseca
- 2 cup Water
- 2/3 cup Margarine
- 1/2 packages Taco seasoning
- 4 tbsp Chicken seasoning
- 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
- 2 Potatoes
- 1 cup Shredded Cheese
- 1 can Sliced Olives
- 2 slice Onion
- 1 Taco sauce
- Mix together dough ingredients.
- You may have to add a tad bit more masa, you want it to be just stiff enough not much sticks to your finger if you touch it.
- Set aside dough.
- Slice potatoes into long strips, and slice onion.
- Separate rings.
- Its easiest if you have all your filling in easily accessible dishes for quickness.
- Spoon some dough onto a strip of foil and flatten.
- Add raw potato slices, olives, onion, cheese and taco sauce.
- Fold foil in half, and press edge to seal.
- Roll and fold ends.
- Steam for one hour.
- Remove tamales and let drain.
- Let them sit for about fifteen min to completely set, then try not to get fluffy from eating too many :)
