Sausage Corn Bread Bake Recipe
- 1 lg. sausage
- 1 lg. onion, minced
- 2 Large eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 1/2 c. Martha White buttermilk self-rising cornmeal mix
- 1 can cream-style corn
- 3/4 c. lowfat milk
- 1/2 c. vegetable oil
- 2 c. (8 ounce.) grated sharp Cheddar cheese
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
- Grease a 10 1/2 inch skillet or possibly 2 qt baking dish; set aside.
- Brown sausage and onion in medium skillet; drain well.
- Combine Large eggs, cornmeal, lowfat milk and oil.
- Pour half of cornmeal mix into prepared skillet; sprinkle with sausage mix and cheese.
- Pour remaining batter over top.
- Bake 30-40 min.
- Let cold 10 min.
- 6-8 servings.
