Crispy Red Cabbage
- 4 cups shredded red cabbage (about 3.4 pound)
- 2 md. apples, cored and cut into wedges
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 2 tbsp. brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
- Place cabbage, apples, vinegar and brown sauce in saucepan over medium heat.
- Mix well.
- Cover, simmer 10 minutes until cabbage is tender-crisp.
- Add salt and nutmeg.
- Mix well.
- Serve warm.
