Beef Bourguignon Crock Pot Recipe
- 1 lb bacon cooked, and grease reserved
- 3 lb beef cubed
- 1 bot red wine
- 1 lb onions minced
- 1 lb celery
- 1 lb carrots minced
- 2 x garlic cloves minced Minced shallots (optional)
- 1 x bay leaf Salt to taste Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste Flour
- Slowly cook bacon in large baking pan; remove.
- Dredge beef cubes in flour, brown in bacon fat.
- Transfer meat from skillet to heated platter.
- Saute/fry vegetable and garlic in bacon fat; remove.
- Drain fat from pan.
- Gently combine beef, vegetables, bacon and half the wine.
- Add in bay leaf and salt and pepper to taste.
- Cook on for LOW 8 to 10 hrs.
- This recipe yields 6 servings.
