Hearty Manhattan Clam Chowder Recipe

  1. Place bacon in 3 qt microwaveable bowl and microwave uncovered 2 min.
  2. Stir reserved clam liquid into bacon drippings.
  3. Set clams aside.
  4. Add in rest of ingredients except clams and microwave covered 12 to 14 min or possibly till vegetables are tender.
  5. Add in clams, stir gently.
  6. Microwave 2 to 3 min longer.
  7. Let stand covered several min before serving.
