Beef Ka Bobs Recipe
- 2 pound beef tip, cut into 1 1/4 inch cubes
- 10 1/2 ounce. can beef consomme
- 1/3 c. dry white wine or possibly apple juice
- 2 tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1/4 teaspoon onion pwdr
- 1 tbsp. plus 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- Heat consomme, wine, soy sauce, garlic and onion to boiling.
- Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 5 min.
- Cold.
- Pour mix onto beef.
- Cover and chill.
- Spoon mix over beef occasionally for at least 3 hrs or possibly overnight.
- Thread beef cubes on skewer.
- Stir marinade gradually into cornstarch in a sauce pan.
- Cook stirring constantly till mix thickens.
- Boil for 1 minute.
- Brush over kabobs.
- Set oven to broil.
- Broil kabobs about 4 inches from heat.
- Broil for 7 min, turn, brush with sauce and broil 7 min more.
- Place on warm platter, spoon on remaining sauce.
