My Chili

  1. Wish I could say mix as usual as most of my recipe cards say that -- lol.
  2. Brown hamburger with garlic.
  3. Add onions, grn.
  4. pepper, celery, salt.
  5. Pour in tomatoes with juice, tomato sauce, Salsa, drained mushrooms.
  6. Add cumin, chili powder,stir all together.
  7. Add the refried beans if using.
  8. Simmer for an 1 1/2 hour.
  9. Add sugar and kidney beans and heat through.
  10. Sprinkle some of each of the toppings when serving.
  11. Basically, it's brown the burger and dump everything else into a pot except the toppings and cook.
  12. Use as much Salsa as you want.
  13. I started adding a can of refried beans if the sauce seemed to thin.
  14. Tastier than using a thickening agent and now I do it all the time if it's needed or not.
