Hearty Make-Head Spaghetti Sauce

• 14 lb hot pork sausage
• 1 lb extra lean ground beef
• salt and pepper, to taste
• 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
• 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
• 6 -10 garlic cloves, minced
• 1 teaspoon basil
• 12 teaspoon oregano
• 14 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
• 1 12 teaspoons mixed Italian herbs
• dried bay leaf

1. In skillet, season sausage and beef with salt and pepper.
2. Brown until cooked through.
3. Do not drain.
4. In crock pot, combine all ingredients, including meat.
5. Optional: refrigerate overnight.
6. Cook in crock pot on low setting 6-12 hours.
7. Serve over desired pasta.
