Simple Loaf Bread Using a Bread Machine
- 200 grams Bread (strong) flour
- 30 grams Rice flour
- 10 grams Skim milk powder
- 12 grams Sugar
- 12 grams Unsalted butter
- 4 grams Salt
- 160 ml Water
- 1 tsp Dried yeast
- Put all the ingredients in a bread machine, and start the regular bread program.
- This is how it looks baked.
- If baking the bread in a pan: Put all the ingredients except for the butter in a bread machine and start.
- After 6 to 7 minutes, tear the butter into little pieces and add to the machine.
- Let the machine handle things up to the end of the 1st rising.
- After the 1st rising is done, divide the dough into 3 pieces and rest for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Deflat lightly, and roll out into an oval.
- Fold in the sides so that they overlap a little, then roll up.
- Seal the ends lightly.
- Put the rolled up pieces in an oiled bread pan, and leave to rise again (2nd rising).
- The time depends on the season and room temperature, but it takes 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
- When the dough has risen up to the rim of the pan, bake in a 180C oven for 25 minutes.
- When it has finished baking, to prevent the loaf from collapsing, drop the bread pan once from a height onto your work surface, then take the loaf out of the pan.
