Shepherd's Pie

  1. Melt the fat and brown the onion over high heat.
  2. Add the cooked or raw meat, savory, salt and pepper.
  3. Stir over medium heat 3 to 4 minutes.
  4. Place in a baking dish.
  5. Pour the corn over the meat and top with potatoes mashed with milk.
  6. If you like, a small piece of butter may be added.
  7. Smooth top with a knife, making pretty designs and dot with butter.
  8. Bake in a 375F (190C) F oven for 20 minutes.
