  1. Combine the cornmeal, flour, baking pwdr, salt, warm sauce, onions, bell peppers, jalapenos, and cayenne in a large mixing bowl and mix well to break up any lumps.
  2. Stir in the Large eggs, buttermilk, and water, and blend well.
  3. Heat the oil in a large heavy saucepan over medium-high heat to 360 degrees.
  4. In batches, drop the batter by Tbsp.
  5. into the warm oil and fry till golden on all sides, turning with a long-handled spoon, about 2 min.
  6. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  7. Repeat with the remaining batter.
  8. Sprinkle with the Creole seasoning and serve warm.
  9. This recipe yields 18 hush puppies.
