Beer And Soy Braised Beef Recipe
- 1 lb Beef Stew Meat
- 1/4 tsp White Pepper
- 1 tsp Vegetable Oil
- 3 Tbsp. Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
- 12 ounce Beer Dark
- 2 slc Ginger Thinly Sliced
- 2 x Green Onions
- 1 x Cinnamon Stick
- 2 x Star Anise Optional
- 2 c. Sliced Carrot
- 2 c. Leek Sliced
- 6 c. Cooked Couscous
- Trim fat from meat; cut meat into 3/4 inch cubes, and sprinkle with pepper.
- Heat oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
- Add in meat, and cook 3 min oruntil browned, stirring frequently.
- Add in soy sauce and next 4 ingredients
- (soysauce through cinnamon); stir in star anise, if you like, and bring to a boil.
- Cover meat mix, reduce heat, and simmer 1 hour.
- Add in carrot and leeks; cook, uncovered, and additional 30 min or possibly till vegetables are tender.
- Throw away ginger, green onions, cinnamon, and star anise.
- Serve over couscous.
