  1. In a large pot, combine sugar and Karo syrup.
  2. Over a low flame, stir constantly until just under a boil.
  3. Remove from the heat and stir in peanut butter and Special K cereal.
  4. Spread in buttered 9 x 13-inch pan.
  5. Icing: Over low heat or in a double boiler, melt chocolate chips.
  6. Stir until smooth.
  7. Frost bars.
  8. When cool, cut into squares.
  9. Makes 12-16.
