Sauerkraut Meatball Soup Recipe

  1. Mix meatballs and place on cookie sheet.
  2. Brown in 350 degree oven for 10-12 min.
  3. In kettle put sauerkraut, tomatoes, carrots, celery, onions, potatoes, pepper, bouillon cubes, water and bay leaves.
  4. Bring to a boil.
  5. Simmer for 30 min.
  6. Add in meatballs and simmer 30 min more, stirring occasionally.
  7. Ideal for slow cookers, set on medium setting, cook 6 hrs.
  8. Add in meatballs halfway through cooking time.
